Home and School Association

The Home and School Association supports the faith development of students by building a bridge between the home and school environments. Open to all parents whose children attend SMMA, Home and School supports SMMA through hospitality, fundraising, social events, and volunteer activities. School Board

The School Board consists of 9 elected members, the pastor, and the principal. It is the duty of the School Board to serve as an advisory committee to the administration on policy matters concerning educational programs, facilities, transportation, finance, discipline, and extracurricular activities. School Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month except December, June and July.

OASIS Tutoring Program

Through the OASIS Tutoring Program, older adults tutor grade school students, helping them foster a positive self image as they are motivated to read, write, and communicate proficiently. New volunteers are always welcome and are provided a training session to learn the OASIS approach. Volunteers must also attend a Protecting God’s Children session through the Archdiocese of St. Louis and have a background check by the state of Missouri.

Young Adult Catholics Hanging Together (YACHT Club)

The SMMA YACHT Club connects young (and young at heart!) adults (21+) of the parish with each other and with the parish through social, service, and faith-based activities. The YACHT Club aims to provide a sense of community and belonging among single adults, parents and the young-at-heart! Events have included: baseball games, human foosball, Adult Easter egg hunt, speaker series, Food Truck Fridays, etc. Members run the gamut from single, divorced, married, married with kids, married with dogs, etc. All parishioners ages 21 and up are welcome.

Holy Name Society

A men’s spiritual, service, and fraternal organization whose main objective is to foster devotion and reverence to the Holy Name of Jesus. The society sponsors several prayer events, First Friday Fish Frys, the Pro-Life trip to Washington D.C., Bibles for sixth​ graders, rosaries for PSR and fourth graders,and many other worthwhile causes.
