All persons who are working with children are obliged to complete a Child Abuse Screening. The type of screening we process at SMMA allows the employer to request an updated screening, once the person has completed the original process. All teachers, employees, volunteers, coaches, priests, maintenance staff, scout leaders, etc. are required to go through the Child Abuse Screening.
All persons, employees, and volunteers working with children must also attend a one time Protecting God’s Children training for adults and sign a Code of Ethical Conduct.
St. Margaret Mary Alacoque School abides by the state Child Protection and Reformation Act (RSMO210) that requires school personnel having reasonable cause to believe that a child known to them in their professional capacity may be an abused or neglected child to report to the Missouri Department of Family Services.
